how should i dress?
However you want. Some want to offer their 'best' to
God, which for them means formal. Others say they want to offer their 'true'
selves to God, so they dress casual. We are meeting with God, so the focus
isn't really on us. We all dress differently, and think that's okay.

what should i expect?
To be ministered to by the living God as you give
yourself in worship with others who hunger for him... to find your satisfaction
in the One who made us.
Tip Grab a worship
bulletin at the door. Worship follows a pattern set in the early centuries of
the church, beginning with a Service of Approach in which we consecrate
ourselves to God as he forgives and embraces us. The Service of the Word
follows, as God ministers to us through the reading and preaching of Scripture.
Worship has its climax in the Service of the Table, in which we come to Christ
together as he ministers to us through the sacrament of his body and blood.
Expect time to be still in silence before God, and time to sing out to him.
Expect to be aware of our human failure to seek him adequately, and expect to
be amazed that he seeks us and accepts us in Christ nevertheless. Following the
practice of the early church, communion is served every Sunday. During most of
the year, we come forward to receive the elements. During Lent (February-March)
and Advent (December), the elements are served to us in the pews. Believing
Christians from any denomination are welcomed to the table.
what style worship will i see?
We don't really like the focus on this or that style of
worship--it seems to distract from what really matters, which is the fact that
God is there and meets with us in worship. We're a diverse urban congregation,
so our worship reflects that diversity, including both really contemporary and
really ancient music, all within an ancient liturgical structure. To better
